The film is produced and directed by Stephen Simon, who also created other spiritual films, such as Somewhere in Time. The impression we receive from this book “Conversation with God: The Making of the Movie” is that there is amazing coordination in all parts of the movie making process; from how the books came to the attention of the producers, to how it was funded, to how casting was done ---and even to the perfect weather during the making the movie. There are many comments about magical and miraculous moments from a variety of people who created this film. 

This book includes many beautiful pictures from the film location in Oregon. Novelist and screenwriter Monty Joynes and Neale Donald Walsh (whose life is portrayed in this film) provide behind-the-scene stories and other insights. The movie is an excellent introduction to the works of Neale Donald Walsh for those who haven’t had a chance to read his books.
