Nature’s Path U.S.A. Inc. of Blaine, WA, a wholly owned subsidiary of Nature’s Path Foods Inc. of Delta, BC, is completing construction from the ground up of a 70,000-sq.-ft., fully automated manufacturing plant for organic breakfast cereals and other foods. The new U.S. plant, built with an investment of $12 million to $15 million, will produce between 25 million and 30 million pounds of organic cereal and other grain-based products per year and is scheduled to be operational in December. Two-thirds of the company’s sales are in the U.S., says Arran Stephens, co-owner (along with his wife Ratana) of the privately held company. Products are marketed under the Nature’s Path and Lifestream brands.
