FDA Issues ANPR For Comments on Qualified Health Claims Regulations

Agency also wants ideas for helping consumers make wise food choices.


The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has issued an advance notice of proposed rulemaking (ANPR) for comments on alternatives for regulating qualified health claims in labeling for conventional foods and dietary supplements for humans. In addition, FDA is seeking comments on the appropriateness and nature of dietary guidance statements on conventional food and dietary supplements labels and ideas for policy initiatives that will help consumers make wise food choices.
