This week people are making news at Pharmaca, Nu Skin and Nature's Sunshine.


Peter Roy, former Whole Foods Market president, has joined the board of directors for Pharmaca Integrative Pharmacy Inc. The Boulder, Colo.-based company is expecting Roy to “leverage his prior experiences and assist Pharmaca with its efforts to expand its differentiated pharmacy retailing model in select markets throughout the country,” according to a Nov. 19 announcement. In addition, Richard Scott, founder and former CEO of Nashville, Tenn.-based HCA Inc., will also join the Pharmaca board.


Takashi Bamba, president of Nu Skin Enterprises (NYSE: NUS) subsidiary Nu Skin Japan, will retire at the end of this year. Bamba, 68, will also leave the company's board. Robert Conlee, who has been with the company for 11 years, will replace Bamba.


Nature's Sunshine Products Inc. (Nasdaq: NATR) has appointed Douglas Faggioli as president and CEO. Previously COO and executive VP, Faggioli has worked for NATR for 20 years. Faggioli replaces Daniel Howells who recently resigned.
