On-site generation of compressed hydrogen to power fuel cells.

Plug Power Inc. (Nasdaq: PLUG) has a new product line designed to help fuel on-site hydrogen generators. Plug Power's GenSite products will provide the ability to manufacture compressed hydrogen gas on site for use in industrial applications such as generator cooling and metals processing, according to a Dec. 3 announcement. The new system, slated for operation in demonstration units during summer 2004, would replace existing bottled-hydrogen distribution and on-site electrolyzers.
