Lexus Hybrid Sets Pre Sales Record

Lexus announced to its dealers last week that the RX 400h luxury hybrid SUV will go on sale April 15, 2005. Lexus has more than 9,500 confirmed pre-sold orders for the 2006 RX 400h with more than 46,000 consumers registering online for more information about the world's first luxury hybrid vehicle through the company's website.
Demonstrating the public's strong interest in hybrid technology, Lexus reports that is has received significantly more pre-launch consumer interest for the 400h than any vehicle in its entire 15- year history. The pre-order is a record for a Lexus vehicle.
According to a company, the RX 400h is the first vehicle to provide a powerful new performance features to the traditional hybrid advantages of high mileage and low emissions. It will be the first premium-class hybrid to hit the market.
