Tzu Thé Green Tea is the result of Dr. S. T. Liao's life long passion, vision and guidance. Dr. S. T. Liao at the University of Chicago, often introduced as “Father of EGCG”, fulfilled 47 years of indepth cancer research. He discovered that EGCG, a critical component of Green Tea, is the key biochemical and biological element for many health benefits. Many discoveries by him and others in 1990's revealed the secret that green tea and EGCG can suppress cancers and tumors, lower blood cholesterol and sugar, help digest excess fat, and even protect against the common cold virus and cavity. His work established the foundations of the EGCG revolution.
Dr. Liao's life long passion is to bring his scientific discoveries to the realization of improving human health. One of his many goals is to inform and instruct people in the proper way of cultivating, manufacturing and consuming Green Tea so that everyone may truly benefit from what this powerful ancient herb can offer. The birth and the formation of Tzu Thé is a very positive and exciting step toward fulfilling his dream of helping people.
Tzu Thé recognizes both the nature of easy oxidation of EGCG and the importance of preserving the nutrient of green tea. We implement rigorous quality control measures throughout the entire production chain as no other tea producer does. We begin with professionally managing the tea plantation. From the production to the timing of harvest to the drying and the packaging process, all steps are managed by careful scientific measurement in order to obtain the highest quality green tea possible. By carefully monitoring the quality of each production stock, we ensure the content of catechins remains at the highest level possible. Our production is certified under ISO and SOP standards.
