Venture Fair Summary
The Investors’ Circle/LOHAS Summer Venture Fair will feature 6 companies that address social and environmental issues and exemplify the LOHAS focus on health and fitness, the environment, personal development, sustainable living, and social justice. Presenting companies will be sourced and primed by Investors’ Circle, the largest and oldest investor network focused on building a more sustainable economy.
After the presentations, investors and companies will have the opportunity to network and/or hold private meetings. Investors’ Circle will also facilitate an investors-only meeting to discuss each deal and connect investors that are interested in working together on due diligence.
This half-day event is followed by a reception and dinner to officially commence LOHAS Forum 2010 (separate registration required).
Presenting Companies
Presenting companies will represent a number of industry segments including natural & organic products, green products, nutrition, health & wellness, and fitness. Companies may be in the Start-Up stage, engaged in proof-of-concept or “pre-revenue,” or First Round stage, beyond proof-of-concept with $1-5 million in revenues. Applicants will be professionally screened by Investors’ Circle members with experience in the sustainable consumer products, energy & environment, community development, health & wellness, and media & education sectors. A rigorous evaluation process ensures that only the highest quality companies are selected to present.
