NMI’s LOHAS Pre-Forum Workshop:
Maximizing the Marketing Mix Variables
Wed, June 17, 2009; 1-4 pm
As the LOHAS market continues to mature and evolve, ensuring your marketing team is getting the fundamentals of marketing correct is imperative. In this pre-LOHAS Forum workshop, NMI will explore the application of various marketing mix elements to current marketing situations.
The workshop will begin with a review of NMI LOHAS fundamentals (based on NMI’s annual LOHAS Consumer Trends Database™) with particular insight into how they directly affect marketing strategy. The presenters will then review marketing mix considerations in order to provide a framework for a thorough critique and discussion of two real-life, recent LOHAS marketing initiatives. The assessments will be robust and will address everything from consumer target to messaging strategy to advertising placement to promotion and the role of price.
The third section will be completely interactive – participants will be divided into small groups and given a fictional brand to work with. It will be their job to design the marketing strategy for that brand, based on the data and analysis previously reviewed. The entire group will reconvene to present their results and share observations.
At the conclusion, participants will have:
• Hard data on consumer attitudes and behavior
• Expert perspective on marketing strategies, what worked, and why
• Experience putting the LOHAS insight and perspective to work
Date: Wednesday, June 17, 2009 at 1–4pm. (before the Forum begins)
