Priya Haji
World of Good Inc.

HajiPriya Haji is the former CEO of World of Good Inc., a venture-backed company she co-founded in 2004 to connect artisans from developing communities with mainstream retail markets. In 2010, Haji sold the World of Good brand to eBay and the company’s wholesale division to GreaterGood/Charity USA. Haji currently serves as a strategic advisor for eBay’s sustainable shopping initiatives.

World of Good built market access for thousands of artisan producers, impacting the lives of more than 25,000 individuals in 70 countries. World of Good fair trade gifts could be found at more than 1,200 retail locations, including Whole Foods stores.  In 2008, World of Good and eBay launched WorldofGood.com by eBay, the world’s largest multi-seller marketplace for socially and environmentally responsible shopping, featuring tens of thousands of stylish and unique products from around the world.

A serial social entrepreneur, Haji began creating social enterprises in high school. Her first endeavor was to help her father found and establish Health for All, a free health clinic in Texas. During her senior year at Stanford University, she co-founded Free at Last, a broad-based substance abuse and social services organization in East Palo Alto. As the executive director, she grew the organization to serve 3,000 people annually, with 10 facilities, an annual budget of $2.5 million, and a staff of 60. It became a national model.

Haji has been recognized as one of America’s 10 Most Outstanding Young Leaders by the Do Something Foundation, MTV and Mademoiselle Magazine. In 2009 she was named Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum and also received the Innovation Award by the Social Venture Network.
 
Priya has a B.A. from Stanford and an M.B.A. from University of California, Berkeley's Haas School of Business.
