Melody Badgett
Melody came to 1% for the Planet because of her passion for the environment and appreciation for the way the organization partners with businesses to promote environmental change. She hopes to help 1% FTP grow its brand and partner network and build the value of the 1% network for all involved—member companies, environmental organizations, and consumers.
For the past 18 years, Melody has been building businesses of all sizes. She’s been CMO and COO of a startup sportswear and fundraising company that grew ten-fold, consulted for Deloitte Consulting and IBM with clients such as Target, Ahold, Galeries Lafayette and Neiman Marcus, and helped build an Internet consulting company in the dot-com heyday. Melody recently led work for a research institute focused on the relationship between businesses and their customers, delivering results to senior executives and clients in global markets. In 2007, Melody joined 1% for the Planet and since then the organization has grown from 400 to more than 1450 companies, on its way to becoming one of the biggest funders of environmental work out there.
