Brant Secunda
Shaman Healer

Brant Secunda is an internationally acclaimed shaman and healer in the Huichol Indian tradition of Mexico. As the adopted grandson and close companion of Don Jose Matsuwa, the renowned shaman who passed away in 1990 at the age of 110, Brant completed a 12-year apprenticeship with him. Brant was chosen by Don Jose to take his place to help carry on Huichol Shamanism. Since 1979 he has been the director of the Dance of the Deer Foundation Center for Shamanic Studies in Santa Cruz, California and leads seminars and pilgrimages worldwide.  He is cofounder of the Humanistic Medicine Conference and the Peace University in Germany and a founding member of the American Herbalist Guild. He has worked with the World Health Organization (WHO) and the American Holistic Medical Association. His work has been documented on television, radio, articles and books throughout the USA, Europe and Japan. Brant is the co-author of the newly released book Fit Soul, Fit Body: 9 Keys to a Healthier, Happier You.
