Inara 100% Organic Body Care is made under the principles of fair trade, sustainable practice, and personal health. A unique ingredient that Inara employed for the production of their organic line is Babassu oil. Babassu oil is extracted from kernels (coconut) of the Babassu palm which is indigenous to the south east region of the Amazon. The production and purchase of Inara Babassu items supports women who work for an indigenous women’s cooperative and their family in the area.

As many of you might know, coconut oil is one of the best skin care ingredients in terms of stability. Coconut oil lasts up to 2 years without oxidization due to its high saturated fat content while most oils are highly susceptible to oxidization. This oxidization causes some commercial skin care products to go rancid even before they reach consumers.
