Imperial Holly Buys Organic Sugar Producer Wholesome Foods

mperial Holly Corp. (IHK) will acquire Wholesome Foods LLC for cash from the Root family of Daytona Beach, FL. Wholesome is the largest supplier of organic sugar in the U.S. and the owner of the country’s leading organic sweetener, Sucanat, with 1997 overall company revenues of $4.5 million, says the company. Existing staff will operate Wholesome Foods as a separate division of Imperial Holly.
