BROOMFIELD, CO—Joining the growing band of entrepreneurs looking for a piece of the fast-growing vitamin and supplement market, Vitamin Logic, a year-old, five-store vitamin and supplement chain based here, opened its sixth store in metropolitan Denver in October and will open a seventh later this month.

Vitamin Logic’s 1,400-sq.-ft. newest store is located south of Denver in the Fox Ridge Shopping Center; the seventh will be northwest of the city in Westminster. Through franchising, Vitamin Logic plans to open 10 more stores in Colorado and 200 stores nationwide within the next 12 months.

Company President Steven Yacht declined to discuss the cost of the company’s franchises.

Yacht says Vitamin Logic will expand regionally first, concentrating on Arizona and Utah, then move west before it tackles the East Coast marketplace.

Vitamin Logic retail outlets range in size from 1,000 sq. ft. to 1,400 sq. ft., and current store sales are about $40,000 a month. “These are new stores, and we are still ramping up,” Yacht says

The stores sell proprietary specialty formulas under the brand name Natural Blue Print—a Vitamin Logic brand vitamin line—and third-party vitamins and supplements. The company outsources its production to 15 manufacturers.
