SPINS, Nielsen to Track Natural Foods Sales in Mainstream

Spense Information Services and ACNielsen Corp. (ART) have begun to track sales of natural and organic products in mainstream supermarkets. Called ACNielsen SCANTRACK : SPINS NaturalTrack, the program combines point-of-sale purchase information from U.S. supermarkets with information from SPINS’ product categories.
