In addition to the resignation of Whole Foods Market (WFMI) President Peter Roy (see stories, pg. 1, 6), management changes occurring this month at natural products companies include the resignation of Richard Bizzaro as president and CEO of Weider Nutrition International (WNI). Bizzaro will remain a director and will continue to be available as an advisor to WNI. Also, Organic Food Products (OFPI) terminated its management agreement with James Swallow, J. Bradley Barbeau, Ronald Balsbaugh and David O’Gorman, who served as CEO, VP marketing, VP sales/distribution and CFO, respectively. OFPI appointed OFPI co-founder John Battendieri as president and CEO. Irwin Naturals/4Health (HHHH) announced it has hired former General Nutrition Cos. (GNCI) President Louis Mancini as its president and COO.
