Leiner Health Products posted 2Q00 net sales of $144.5 million, down from 2Q99 net sales of $149.4 million and a net loss of $2.8 million vs. net income of $83,000 in 2Q99.
Hansen Natural (HANS) posted 3Q99 net sales of $20.5 million, up 23.5% from $16.6 million in 3Q98. Net income for 3Q99 was $1.3 million or $.13/diluted share, up 18% from $1.1 million or $.11/diluted share in 3Q98.
Omni Nutraceuticals (OMNT) posted 3Q99 net sales of $9.9 million, up 38% from $7.2 million in 3Q98. The company reported a net loss of $461,000 for the quarter or $.02/diluted share compared to net income of $924,000 or $.03/diluted share in 3Q98. The net loss reflects a one-time charge of $260,000 for relocation costs.
Natural Alternatives International (NAII) announced sales for 1Q00 of $15.3 million vs. $17 million a year ago. Net income for 1Q00 was $87,000 or $.02/diluted share, down from $1.5 million or $.25/diluted share for 1Q99, mostly attributable to a decrease in gross profit margins from increased costs.
Shaman Pharmaceuticals Inc. (SHMN) posted losses for 3Q99 of $4.2 million or $1.65/share compared to net losses of about $9.9 million or $11.05/share for 3Q98. Revenue for the quarter was $363,000 vs. $560,000 in 3Q98.
Reliv International (RELV) reported 3Q99 revenues of $16.9 million, up 35% over 3Q98. The company posted a loss of $350,000 for the quarter compared to earnings of $73,000 in 3Q98, attributed to low margins on processing and packaging
services.
Seventh Generation (SVNG) announced 3Q99 sales of $2.6 million, up 23% from $2.1 million in 3Q98. The net loss for the quarter was $69,585 or $.03/share vs. a loss of $149,253 or $.06/share in 3Q98.
PharmaPrint (PPRT) reported a net loss for 2Q00 of $6.58 million or $.48/share vs. $8.04 million or $.59/share for 2Q99. For the six months ended Sept. 30, 1999, PPRT reported revenues of $6.0 million and a net loss of $9.8 million or $.72/share. For the comparable period in FY99, the company posted revenues of $4.2 million and a net loss of $12.47 million or $.91/share.
Vacu-Dry (VDRY) posted 1Q00 net earnings of $3.5 million or $2.25/diluted share vs. a net loss of $129,000 or $.08/share for 1Q99.
NexMed (NEXM) posted a 3Q99 net loss of $601,490 or $.07/share vs. a net loss of $1.3 million or $.16/share for 3Q98. For the nine months ended Sept. 30, 1999, the company’s net loss was $2.3 million or $.27/share vs. a net loss of $3.5 million or $.48/share for the same nine-month period the previous year. Revenues were $1.5 million compared to $4.5 million for the same nine months in 1998.
Advantage Marketing Systems Inc. (AMM) reported net income for its 3Q99 of $396,614 or $.10/share compared to a loss of $68,347 or $.02/share in 3Q98. Net sales increased 71.4% to $6.22 million compared to $3.63 million in 3Q98.
Whole Foods Market Inc. (WFMI) said 4Q99 sales were $375.2 million, up 15% from $326.2 million in 4Q98. Sales were $1.57 billion for the year, up 13% from $1.39 billion in FY98. Comparable store sales for all stores increased 8.3% for the fourth quarter and 7.7% for the year.
Odwalla Inc. (ODWA) said 4Q99 net sales were $17.2 million, up 13% from $15.3 million in the same quarter a year ago. For the year, sales increased 15% to $68 million, the highest sales year in the company’s 20-year history. The company lost $467,000 or $.09/share in 4Q99 compared to a $1.07 million or $.21/share loss in 4Q98.
Twinlab Corp. (TWLB) said net sales were $81.9 million in its 3Q99, down from $84.4 million in 3Q98. Net income was $2.8 million or $.09/share compared to $6.2 million or $.19/share in 3Q98. Net income includes an extraordinary charge of $81,000 in 3Q99 and $2.1 million in 3Q98. The company said it purchased 882,100 shares of its common stock since the end of the 2Q.
Gardenburger Inc. (GBUR) said sales for 3Q99 will be between $24 million and $26 million.
