Important news about your Natural Business subscription . . .

Dear Subscriber,

We wanted you to be the first to hear about some important changes at Natural Business Communications. First, in an effort to provide you with a greater level of service, beginning in January, 2002, your subscription will include the LOHAS Journal Weekly, a new online news service providing expanded, executive-level coverage of the entire $230-billion “Lifestyles of Health and Sustainability”—LOHAS—market, of which the natural products industry, estimated at $32 billion, is an integral part.

Each week, the LOHAS Journal Weekly will bring you a wide range of business and financial news in all five of the LOHAS markets: Sustainable Economy, Healthy Lifestyles, Alternative Medicine, Personal Development and

Ecological Lifestyles—all businesses that appeal to the Cultural Creative consumer, a values-based group comprising 50 million Americans. The Natural Business Weekly News Update will become a part of this new expanded service.

Additionally, starting in January, the print version of Natural Business will be incorporated into the new LOHAS Journal Weekly as well as the critically acclaimed LOHAS Journal print edition. All of the great information that you have come to rely on will be included in the two LOHAS publications, now delivered in a more timely,

cohesive fashion.

Also, subscribers will enjoy fully searchable, password access to the complete archives of LOHAS Journal and the new LOHAS Journal Weekly, in addition to the complete archives of Natural Business and the Weekly News Update. And of course, special subscriber-based discounts on Natural Business Communications research and registration for our annual Market Trends Conference and Trade Fair are still in effect.

Why this change? Over the nearly six years that we’ve been publishing Natural Business, the business of disseminating news and information has changed dramatically in response to the immediacy offered by the Internet and consolidation in the market for natural products.

We also clearly see the emergence of the LOHAS marketplace as a major driver in healthy lifestyles and sustainable business and in unifying these diverse markets. It is our goal to better serve all of our customers through the two publications that will serve as the flagships for Natural Business Communications in the 21st century.

We look forward to continuing to serve you with the strategic news, market research, analysis and information and the high level of service you’ve come to expect from Natural Business Communications. If you have any questions or comments, don’t hesitate to contact us, and thank you again for your support and input.

With warm regards,
