RiceX Enters Agreement with European Ingredients Distributor

The RiceX Co. (OTC BB: RICX), an El Dorado Hills, Calif.-based functional foods manufacturer, has a new distribution agreement with Kreglinger Europe, an Antwerp, Belgium-based trading and transportation company. The distribution agreement is RiceX's “first formal entry into the European market, according to a Dec. 18 announcement. Kreglinger will have exclusive distribution rights to RiceX Stabilized Rice Bran products in Belgium, The Netherlands, Luxembourg and the U.K.

"Our products are all-natural, grain-based and not chemically or genetically modified, exactly the kind of premium ingredients European consumers have been requesting,” states Daniel McPeak Jr., senior VP and general manager.

"We have been very successful with specialty-food ingredients and rice-based products in Europe," adds Wim Arnouts, managing director of Kreglinger Europe, in the announcement. "RiceX's Stabilized Rice Bran ingredients represent an exciting line extension that we believe will meet a growing demand among our customers."
