Pharmaca to Match Donations to Vitamin Angel

Eight-store pharmacy chain hopes to fund enough vitamin A to save the eyesight of 20,000 children.

Boulder, Colo.-based pharmacy chain Pharmaca Integrative Pharmacy Inc. will match donations of vitamin A supplements to Santa Barbara, Calif.-based Vitamin Angel Alliance made at its eight stores through Jan. 31, 2004. Pharmaca says it hopes to help save the eyesight of more than 20,000 children via the donations to Vitamin Angel, according to a Dec. 16 announcement.

Vitamin Angel distributes vitamins to malnourished children worldwide. Last year, Pharmaca made a similar pledge that benefited Doctors Without Borders.
