Georgetown University is now offering a master's degree in physiology with a complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) concentration as of this fall. According to the program's website, it is the first CAM-oriented, science-based master's program offered at a medical center in the U.S.
"Our goal is the seamless integration of CAM material and basic science," states Aviad Haramati, director of education for physiology and biophysics at the medical school, in a recent announcement. Nine students are enrolled in the program this fall.
