Evergreen Solar Hires New CEO

Richard Feldt to head PV company.

Evergreen Solar Inc. (Nasdaq: ESLR) has appointed Richard Feldt as CEO and president. Feldt will also serve on the photovoltaic-panel-maker's board. Feldt is taking over for Mark Farber, who will move to the position of VP of marketing and business development.

Feldt, who has 30 years of experience "successfully growing global technology and manufacturing businesses," will help Evergreen quadruple its manufacturing capacity during the next year and a half, according to a recent company announcement. Most recently, he worked as CEO for Perseid, a developer of optical-phased-array technology.

Farber has been with the company for nine years. In his new position, he will focus on meeting sales goals.
